My Experience with the New Herbal Essences Bio:Renew Potent Aloe Collection

This post is written in partnership with Herbal Essences and ShopStyle. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!

Wouldn’t life be so much easier if our everyday life didn’t affect our hair routines? Let’s be real, we can’t slow down our lifestyle out of fear of ending up with split ends, frizz, greasy roots, or even dry scalp. Hair is like anything else: it ends up adapting to the environment that it is put in. If you are in a very humid environment odds are that it’s going to frizz. If you exercise multiple hours a day, the pH balance in your hair could be off, potentially leaving you with either grease or dry scalp. It’s normal and you’ll experience fluctuations in your hair type over time and based on your day-to-day activities.

Herbal Essences has been one of my favorite hair brands for as long as I can remember. If you have followed me for a while, you’ll know that I use their Bio:Renew Products religiously! If you are just tuning in, well let me fill you in on a little product knowledge. Herbal Essences is a hair care brand that creates their products with intent. They create products for all types of hair and for people on the go.

The bio:renew collections aim to ‘renew’ your hair to it’s healthy glory by incorporating antioxidants and ingredients that celebrate nature. Their new Potent Aloe shampoos and conditioners are PETA cruelty free, paraben free, sulfate free, and safe to use on colored hair. The Potent Aloe Collections have real botanicals that are endorsed by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. I love knowing that the products I use to wash and style my hair every day are made with sustainable sourced potent aloe and real botanicals!

I know you are all itching to know how exactly my experience with the collection went. I started using the Potent Aloe Collection after my trip to Switzerland. I began to experience dry scalp because of the cold weather. I usually end up with dry hair and ends after a trip, but dry scalp was something that I was not familiar with. I noticed that Herbal Essences launched the Potent Aloe + Eucalyptus collection to promote scalp balance, so I decided to give it a try.

I have been so happy with the amazing results that I’ve had. After three days, I noticed my scalp was much less dry and itchy, and that my hair was being restored to its natural healthy self.

The in-shower experience is also something that I loved. The scent, a combination of apple blossom, white musk, and a touch of eucalyptus, filled my shower and even when I walked back into the bathroom after getting dressed and ready the scent was still lingering. I actually felt the shampoo and conditioner getting the job done! Sulfate free shampoos are not necessarily known for their amazing in-shower experience, but this new shampoo has such a luxurious lather. The best part was that they left my hair feeling soft and nourished.

The other Potent Aloe Collections are great for curl defining, frizz control, strengthening hair, and they even have two new hair masks and hair oil mists for styling.   Over the time that I’ve used this line, I fell in love with the scents and the results, so it naturally fell into my selection of bathroom must haves. Herbal Essences is a brand that I’ve used for so long and trust so much that anytime they launch a new collection I get so excited to share with all of you.

The products are very affordable as well, which makes it easier for all of you to get your hands on them. They retail for $5.99 at your local Walmart or you can check out their webpage online to get more info on all the amazing products and technology that is cooking at the Herbal Essences HQ.

Who would have ever thought I would experience dry scalp? I definitely didn’t! Like anything, with consistency you get the best results. I’m into the second week using the shampoo and conditioner and I can already see the results. The Herbal Essences Potent Aloe Collections are here to help you achieve the hair goals you want! What is your hair type and what are your hair goals? I’d love to hear your thoughts on the product.
