Same Blazer 4 Different Ways

One of my favorite things to invest in when thinking of my wardrobe are pieces that I can get the most use out of. If you’ve hopped on to my online page or my Instagram before, you know that I am a sucker for blazers. In an interview in the past, I even went as far as to mention that if I only had one piece of clothing for the rest of my life I’d choose a blazer. The blazer is the perfect day to night transition item. It is a dress up or down topper that will elevate any look and will achieve an everyday polished look. Pictured as this blogpost’s highlighted piece is one of my favorite blazers: my Storet’s Camel Structured Blazer.

Picking out a blazer is very simple. Think about the items you have in your closet, and try to create different looks with it in your head. Second, make sure the blazer hits you where you want it to fall. I love it when a blazer hits the top end of my thigh. At the end of the day, I would recommend an oversized fit. I’ve always been a fan of the oversized look, but now that I’m pregnant I am so glad it’s always been something that I’ve been into. I haven’t needed to buy any maternity clothing because my oversized pieces still fit me or still fit oversized.
I’ve been loving my Tamara Mellon combat boots to compliment my Storet’s blazer. I added a body-con turtleneck dress as a top because it hugs in all the rights places. Some people don’t like the black and brown color combo, but I am such a fan. Personally I think it’s a timeless color combination.
This is a look that has the same color combo, but is a bit different. Distressed denim dresses down any outfit. It is a simple way to create a day look. I added a fancy flat and a fancy handbag to elevate my brunch look.
Last but not least, I paired the blazer with a polka dotted midi skirt from Vici Collection. This was a little out of my comfort zone because it was an overall flowy look and I usually like to have a fitted piece in the outfit. However, I loved how this looked !

How do you wear you blazers? Let me know in the comments below ! Also let me know how much use you get out of that one perfect blazer !

xx Gina
