StitchFix: My Online Personal Stylist

This post is sponsored by StitchFix. All thoughts and opinions are my own!

Who doesn’t love receiving something in the mail specifically personalized for you? I know I do! I personally considered myself an online shopping guru, but lately more times than not it’s been a miss rather than a hit. I think it mostly has to do with the amount of time I have on my hands and being unavailable to search websites for long hours to find the items that work for me. This is why I was so excited to share with all of you that I partnered up with StitchFix.

For those of you who don’t know, Stitch Fix is an online personal stylist that delivers packages catered to your personal likes and dislikes regarding your everyday wardrobe, in the mail. Here’s how it works– first you create an account online on their website. Second, you take a style quiz which includes sizing, fit, price range, preferred style, and favorite brands. Third, you request your Fix which costs $20 dlls and can be used towards any of the items in you Stitch Fix package. Next, you log into your account and decide what you would like to buy (and keep, duh!). Lastly, any items that did not work for you would need to be sent back in a Priority Mail envelope provided in the original packaging. Easy enough right?

Stitch Fix provides a few personal styling tips in an envelope so that the items that were delivered can be paired with items that already reside in your closet. They create a way for you to still utilize the items in your closet and give you two outfitting options so that you can make outfits of your own. I decided to create outfits out of all of the items in my Fix instead. I did, however, find this to be extremely useful for any of you wanting to create looks at home –especially for those of you who have been on edge on whether you wanted to try the service or not.

The items above are the items I received in the mail. Most of you know I love a casual approach to my outfits. I received some great summer pieces and decided to keep 80% of my Fix. Madewell is one of my favorite brands and I have loved their jeans for the past 4-5 years. It came as no surprise that I wanted to keep this pair. However, Blank NYC is a brand which I own a bit of, but have not shopped in awhile. These specific pair of jeans did not fit my body as I wished and I decided to pass on these. The accessories (shoes & bag) were a home run for me — perfect for summer. I paired all my outfit combos with these two.

Stripes are always a casual staple, which is why I decided to wear this top as soon as I saw it in my Fix. I paired it with a white denim skirt (also perfect for summer) and a pop of color jean jacket to tie the look. Keep in mind these are all items that were included in my fix. I personally think my stylist knocked it out of the park! These are pieces that I will use all season long and they were delivered personally catered to my stylistic needs!

i also decided to create a look that was a bit out of my comfort zone. When I saw this blush checkered top, I thought “I probably won’t like this”. However, I tried it on and decided that it was actually pretty cute on. I think that happens a lot when we’re in department stores — we miss out on so many items because of the hassle of trying things on. This is one of the many beauties of this service. They deliver it right to your door and can try the items on at your own pace.
Of course, there ere also pieces that were definite “no’s”. Hey, it happens! We all have different body types and we decide what we like and what fits our body best. Stitch Fix makes it extremely easy by providing a shipping label to send back those items that just didn’t make the final cut.

This was my favorite look of all. I paired a silk leopard Sanctuary top with my favorite black Madewell jeans and the jacket I spoke about earlier. I know I will mix and match these pieces separately with so many of the items that already live in my closet. Look your best for that vacation, graduation, party, or family gathering — and use those items in your everyday life as well by dressing them up and down with your outfitting options provided by Stitch Fix! If you have not yet visited their website make sure to head over there and get $25 credit on your first Fix when you use this link. You too can have your online personal stylist and order pieces directly to your home for those upcoming special moments!

Love the Madewell jeans, can you tell me what’s the style?
