NYFW Outfit Round-Up

Given that fashion month is over, I wanted to show you a round-up of all my NYFW outfits a little while after the hectic week especially since most of your feeds have probably been flooded with fashion month diaries and outfits galore. I am so grateful that season after season I get a chance to attend NYFW and extremely humbled to collaborate with such amazing brands. I wouldn’t call myself a NYFW veteran, but I’ve had my fair share of fashion week seasons, eight to be exact ! This time around I prepped myself into knowing that unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to male it to all the shows and presentations on time because that’s just the way it is! There’s only so many hours in a day and there’s so many events and runways during this time that traffic is bound to get in the way.

Going to one of the Kendra Scott events in partnership with PaintBox, I sported Altuzarra SS19. These blue white leopard stamped cargo pants were amazing not only for the rain, but for running around SOHO like a crazy person. I paired it up with one of their mini saddle bags in white which was incredible for keeping all my essentials safe while on the fashion week craze. Make sure to visit Altuzarra because their pieces are definite gems and items worth splurging on!

P.S. Shoes are Zara, because I’m still debating on whether or not take the plunge on the whole “dad shoes” pool — super comfy and affordable ! Shoppable link below !!

My first meeting I had in the city was with Ramy Brook. Their attention to detail for high end dresses, skirts, and leather jackets is astonishing. I created an three piece look book for some of the selects at the store. It was such a challenge because I had a meeting a couple of hours later and I had to shoot in the streets and shops around the store. It all worked out, because the vibe was very much street style busy New York.  All these looks are available on their site and also on the Shop my look section.

Many of you always ask me where a good place to stay is. This time around, I called Hotel Indigo LES my home away from home. They were so accommodating and had the warmest welcome upon my arrival. I love the LES neighborhood because the nightlife here is exactly what I picture when I think NYC — young, hip, trendy, all the feels ! It’s neighboring the East Village  & Lower Manhattan just steps away from Soho which is where I spend most of my time these chaotic days. Plus, I got a chance to R&R at the hotel’s renown Mr. Purple. It’s dining is exquisite and the views are jaw-dropping. Even on the colder and rainier days at NYFW I got a glimpse of the amazing views from the Sky Bar Lounge where I would work on all my photo editing. I personally give this hotel five stars and the collab was amazing. (Look at some of my terrace views on the picture below! .. I meeean heart eyes)

Ba&sh & Nour Hammour — name a more iconic duo.. i’ll wait. Such a comfy combo at the hotel terrace in between showers. I paired them with some wide leg Altuzarra denim which were extremely flattering — however not pictured was the moment where these wide leg jeans were soaked by the earlier showers that day. As soon as I noticed this I took them off because they were loans and I treat them like my own! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any more pictures in them, but I honestly give them two thumbs up on material & practicality.

During NYFW it was bound to rain, we knew that even though the weather was hot there was going to be some showers. So naturally, I created a look around my umbrella that was a little risque for me, but I got such a great response to the pictures. Leave in my comments what you think of this! It was a campaign I had for Maidenform bras which I was a little uncomfortable with, but I managed to make the pictures tasteful. I am always very self conscious about my chest because you could say I developed at a super young age. However, being fashion month and all I decided to go for it and I loved the encouragement I received from all of you!

Oh wow, these pants! They were such a hit and such a fashion week fave. My friends at Retrofete hooked me up with some bling bottoms and I was not about to pass up the opp. Something I love about Retrofete is the quality of the product, let alone their intricate beading. They have such an eye for clothing and know how to create a stunner out of you at any special gathering. I paired them with my blush pink Senso shoes. You can find Retrofete at Barneys and Fwrd exclusively — make sure to check out their lookbook online to shop you fave styles.

Cinq a Sept is always one of my favorite presentations of the season. I reached out to them this time around and got the surprising news that they would skip NYFW this year. However, they loaned me some of my favorite neutrals of my NYFW. Talk about a wide leg linen pant! I paired it with a simple white blouse with a pleated detail. When going to fashion week you all see so many over the top looks that you probably will never end up wearing because they are so “out there”. I get it, my first fashion weeks were a bit strange to me but I found that sometimes you have to dress to impress in whatever you are comfortable in. It was one of the pictures with the most engagement and although I thought twice about posting, I’m so glad I did!

I have to admit that I love running in to my work friends when going to fashion week. Sometimes I feel like a crazy person doing what it is that I do, but looking at how far these boss ladies have come and I’ve come along with them makes me smile. It’s also great to catch up on our lives when spending such time apart. Follow these beautiful Mexican bloggers @FerMedina & @PamAllier if you aren’t already ! I love that this environment let’s all of us fashion bloggers express that we have different styles  and bring something different to the table as pictured above all three of us in Milly.

The last few hours before going straight to JFK, I decided to stop for coffee and look back on my last few days in the city. This time around I only attended five NYFW days, arriving two days earlier to got o 29Rooms with Dr. Jart and making space to go to LiketoKnowit, Lulu’s, YSL, & RewardStyle Events. I think it’s the mayhem of it all that impedes taking a snap at each event, but it was a workload for sure. I think I had much more of a responsibility to meet brand’s needs this time around with pictures rather than being able to attend shows for my benefit, but hey it’s work and I love what I do !

Shop all the looks in my post below !
