When I think of a pant suit, I relate it to three things: business, formal, and office wear which all equal — yawn. However, when I found this blue almost chambray toned pant suit, I knew I could put a twist to that classic old formal pant suit. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love the “borrow from the boys” trends and done right a fitted pant suit with some minimal cleavage for a night out is fire. But, I’m talking about putting an everyday casual spin to the pant suit. A way to lessen the formality of a pantsuit still looking hip.
I found this gem of a pant suit at LOFT and immediately decided to pair it with a graphic tee. I usually don’t wear cropped tees because I’m a bit self conscious, but I knew I was going to top off the outfit with a blazer, so I decided to go for it. I finished off the look with some metallic gray sandals which had a little faux fur. I was a bit skeptical in the beginning with this trend. Sandals with fur? But I think I found my happy medium with these NewBark LA slip-ons because they’re not all fur.
I have been traveling here and there lately and I have not had days where I can just relax and take a day for myself. That’s exactly what I did. I took a stroll around La Jolla in San Diego, the weather was amazing and the compliments on my outfit were coming left and right. Try something different yourself, you never know when it may pay off. If you like any of my paired up pieces, shop my look below !
