I’ve been a bit MIA lately, but any of you who follow me on snapchat know that I just got back from Indio, California. Coachella weekend 1 is already over and I can’t believe it ! For all of you who don’t know, the Coachella Music and Arts Festival is a yearly event to celebrate music and art. It is a gathering of different genres of music where artists create an environment like no other. This year, as always, did not disappoint. Some of my favorite performances were Empire of the Sun, Lady Gaga, The XX, Nicolas Jaar, Breakbot, Two Door Cinema Club, I swear the list goes on and on. My coachella weekend was a little busy, but Coachella is a dream. It is honestly the place where you go and have the time of your life. Everyone is in a good mood and the positive energy radiates throughout the field. The weather this weekend was surprisingly decent. It is usually either extremely hot in the day, and beyond cold at night. But this weekend, the temperature was on its best behavior!
For all you planning to go this weekend, I strongly recommend arriving around 2 pm, when the line for check-in has gone down. Also, go to the YUMA tent. It is air conditioned, and a great place to listen to new music and dance your heart out. The best part is that it is never full. Also, make sure to see the arts too! They are spread around the field, so if you are waiting to see an artist it is easy to access. Also Coachella is working to be green. There was this awesome seesaw that with the energy produced while using it, you could charge your phone. Drink loads of water, and hang by the camping area: Go and make a couple of friends! The camping area has music playing all around and you get to meet people from all over the world! As far as outfitting goes for coachella there are many looks you can go for. There’s the boho look, rocker chic, flower child, studded diva , tie-dye hippie, lacey & girly, embroidered mesh, two-piece, and fringy looks: All are welcome at Coachella. This is the place to express your individuality through the clothes you wear as well. Here are a few pictures of my outfit choices this year.
Whether you have been to Coachella, are planning to go next weekend, or have never been there before, it’s safe to say Coachella is all about the experience. It doesn’t matter if you love the line-up or you don’t know who is playing, it’s about celebrating music. The environment is so eclectic, there is no way to describe Coachella, other than the best weekend of the year. Let me know how your Coachella experience was ! I want to know the peaks and the pits !
